DSSSB Exam 2018: Exam Strategy

Dear Students,

As we know DSSSB has invited the application form in January 2018 for recruitment of 9232 PRT, TGT, PGT and other non-teaching posts. For the post of PGT’s, the exam will be held up to 02 to 07 July 2018. And for the remaining posts, exams have been scheduled in August-September 2018. In the lieu of such huge vacancies, it is advisable for all the candidates to prepare well for the selection. Candidates need to improve their speed and accuracy on finishing the exam quickly within the given time without making the mistakes. Candidates will have to use their smart time management skills effectively as they will be allotted fixed time for each section. In this following article, we will discuss how to prepare for DSSSB exam section wise. 

Section 1: General Intelligence and Reasoning 

Candidates preparing for DSSSB exam should put more focus on concepts and facts rather than taking the intellectual approach.  

The section of General Intelligence and Reasoning is based more on conceptual and factual knowledge. Candidates are required to improve their mental alertness level along with logical problem-solving skill for DSSSB exam. Candidates should solve previous year question papers as they will help them know the difficulty level and clarify the doubts related to the exam pattern. 

Section 2: General Awareness 

General Awareness is the second section for DSSSB exam for which a candidate needs to have a different strategy. General Awareness is one of the most scoring sections for DSSSB exam. 

       The questions are based on general events of the daily basis on national and international level. The section is designed with the aim of testing the candidate’s awareness of daily happening around her on the national and international level. All the candidates should prepare regular notes on various topics that cover all the points. Candidates should divide the topics with time and prepare them with a proper time management for good result. 

Section 3: Quantitative Aptitude 

Quantitative aptitude is the third best scoring section for DSSSB exam. Questions in this section are aimed at testing knowledge of the candidates in questions related to quantity, numbers, average etc. 

The range of questions will be from the computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, time and work, ratio and proportion, square roots, averages etc. Candidates should be well versed with the application of basic mathematics formula and other concepts. DSSSB will design the questions to test the ability of the candidate for uses of number in the numerical sense. Candidates should focus on learning the concept and tricks to solve the question in the given time limit. 

Section 4: English Language 

This is the fourth section which is very scoring and time-saving in DSSSB exam. English language section is designed to check the understanding of English comprehension and grammar of the candidates. 

Candidates should have good knowledge of rules of grammar and its correct usage. candidates should learn all the basic rules of grammar and should do practice for correction sentence regularly. For vocabulary portion in English Language, candidates must follow a good newspaper regularly and note the important words. This way, the candidate could get a good grip on vocabulary portion. 

Section 5: Concerned Subject 

To all the sections given above, concerned subject has a great weightage in DSSSB exam. For TGT and PGT post candidates should prepare our subject (Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry etc.) very thoroughly. 

This section is designed to check the knowledge of graduation and post-graduation syllabus for concerned subjects. candidates should practice with the previous exam papers to know the difficulty level and types of questions. It should be very helpful for them to get a good score in DSSSB examination.

The candidates preparing for DSSSB exam must know the syllabus for the exam. It will help them know, in which topics they are strong, and in which topics they are weak. After knowing the strength and weakness, candidates can list the topics according to that and could prepare with a proper time management for DSSSB exam.
